The purpose of the "Wetaskiwin & County Sports Hall of Fame" is to honor those athletes, builders and volunteers who significantly contributed to sports programs in Wetaskiwin and County.
It is a non-profit organization to honor a persons or teams overall contribution in the development of sports and recreation. How his or hers efforts impacted the organization and/or community, and how sports benefited from his or hers involvement.
All Hall of Fame inductees will be honored at a formal ceremony, held the end of March each year, at which time their accomplishments will be made public with the local media. A commemorative plaque will be presented to the inductee or his/her representative and a photograph of the presentation and biography will be displayed at the Wetaskiwin Civic Ice Centre.
